Don’t miss out! – Enjoy the Advent season with the streetcar
For 19 years now, the Saturday before the second Advent has been a special day for local transport enthusiasts young and old in Frankfurt and the surrounding area. The St. Nicholas Express organized by the “Historische Straßenbahn der Stadt Frankfurt am Main e. V.” association is almost a tradition and will of course also take place in 2024. On December 7, festively decorated streetcars from a bygone era will adorn Frankfurt’s cityscape. The Santa Claus Express also offers the perfect opportunity to buy a Christmas present.
Looking back, the event, which has always been extremely well received, is still in the planning stage. One thing is already clear: the “Niko-Ex” will not be without a visit from St. Nicholas himself in the coming Advent season. All further details will be announced in good time. A reservation will be necessary for the ride, which you can make online as soon as possible.

But even before December 7, there will be an opportunity to get to know the history of Frankfurt through its historic streetcars. On October 19, the museum store of the Transport Museum in the Eckenheim depot invites visitors to browse from 1 to 5 p.m. and offers the opportunity to purchase gifts such as the HSF calendar 2025 two months before the holidays.
