With historic streetcars to the colorful district festival

Niederrad residents will be celebrating the 125th anniversary of the incorporation of their district into the city of Frankfurt am Main next weekend. The district association Niederrad e.V. is organizing together with associations and initiatives a colorful festival for everyone - with Music, Culture, Culinary delights and Insights into the history of the district! To the program, which here [JPG, 363.79 KB] The program includes dance performances, information stands and a demonstration of a fire department operation.

The association "Historische Straßenbahn der Stadt Frankfurt am Main e. V." also takes part in the district festival and brings Vintage streetcar on the rail. This Saturday from approx. 11 am to 7 pm and on Sunday from approx. 10 am to 6 pm two historic streetcars commute between the Trade fair and the Niederräder Haardtwaldplatz and thus connect the festival with the main station, among other places. The Pt trolley 148 (ex. 748, year of construction 1978) in the Hourly cycle (every 60 minutes).

Not only does the HSF provide an optimal link to the district festival, the Museum store on tour of the Frankfurt Transport Museum is involved. During the shuttle service, the sale of its product range is possible in another historic streetcar in the Turning loop at Haardtwaldplatz housed, it is the O-carriage 111 (ex. 902, built in 1969). Incidentally, in addition to the 125 years since the incorporation of Niederrad, this weekend also marks the 125th anniversary of the opening of streetcar line 15 to.

Unfortunately, N-car 112 is not available for the HSF's special service at short notice. Therefore, this can unfortunately only be carried out on both days with the historic Pt coach 148 (ex. 748, built in 1978). This runs every hour. Departures from Haardtwaldplatz will be at minute :55 on Saturday and at minute :25 on Sunday. The exact times can be found in the updated timetable. We regret the last-minute change, ask for your understanding and wish you a pleasant journey!

Vehicle use:
The Pt wagon 148 (ex. 748, built in 1978) will probably be used.

Current streetcar timetable:

To ride in the historic vehicles, only a ticket valid for Frankfurt valid RMV ticket or the Germany ticket required. These are not barrier-free Vehicles, most of which do not have ramps or boarding aids. There are no parking spaces for wheelchairs. Bicycles and wheelchairs are not permitted for safety reasons, in particular to keep escape routes clear. However, wheelchairs or baby carriages can be taken on board with the assistance of passengers or staff.
